Neuma Sax Quartet

The Quartet

Born from the breath
of music

The Neuma Sax Quartet was founded in 2024 at the "G. Verdi" Conservatory in Milan, with the aim of uniting four musical personalities in a shared vision through the sound of the saxophone. The result is a constant dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity.

The name reflects the quartet's identity: the neuma is a graphic sign used in medieval musical notation, and derives from the Greek pnéuma (πνεῦμα), «breath» — a symbol of music and an essential element for playing the saxophone.
